Teeth Whitening

Tooth whitening or “bleaching” is a simple, non-invasive treatment using a carbamide peroxide compound to change the color of the natural tooth enamel and an ideal way to enhance the beauty of your smile. The method we recommend at our office is the at home tooth whitening system that will whiten the teeth dramatically. The product only works on natural tooth enamel, so it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. as they will not change color. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match newly whitened teeth. Tooth whitening is not permanent so a “touch up” may be needed every several years and more often if the patient smokes, or drinks coffee, tea or wine. There are several different strengths of bleaching material. Our staff will assist you in determining the best product for you based on your current tooth color and tooth sensitivity.
